What is Chakra Vinyasa Krama Basics?

Chakra Vinyasa Krama Basics is a foundational yoga class designed for beginners and those interested in a moderate practice, physical movement, alignment and breathwork. This practice cultivates physical strength, joint mobility (which contributes positively to muscle elasticity), breath awareness, energy flow and focused attention. Chakras are described as metaphysical, psychoenergetic vortices of energy that define the various aspects, qualities and actions of prana–there are seven such ‘wheels’ of energy threaded like beads on a string connecting the base of our spine to the crown of the head. Vinyasa krama describes the intelligent sequencing of poses in the practices of hatha (therapeutic) yoga that effectively serves to free, strengthen and balance the flow of prana in our bodies which re-establishes the vitality and health in body, mind and soul.
