What is Kundalini Yoga & Kirtan?

Kundalini Yoga & Kirtan is a powerfully transformative class for all ability levels. Kundalini Yoga is a comprehensive energy practice that accesses all 8 limbs of yoga–what Patanjali called Ashtanga. The outcomes of this practice include:

  • increased mobility and flexibility,
  • stronger nervous system and resistance to illness,
  • higher vibration from elevated Kundalini energy,
  • healthy and balanced glandular system, and
  • reduced subconscious fear and distraction.

To achieve these benefits will we utilize the following techniques: asana (physical exercise), pranayama (breath exercise), mantra (sound vibration), meditation (mental focus), and savasana (deep relaxation). This is a great practice for busy, stressed people who are looking to balance and strengthen their mind and body and also achieve inner growth and more happiness.

Kirtan is a form of Bhakti Yoga – the yoga of devotion – which involves soothing music and song. Kirtan is a way of bringing community together in remembrance of our own divinity through sacred chants and community. Participate at your own level and feel connected again. All levels welcome.
