What is True Beginner’s Yoga?
Have you been wanting to begin a yoga practice to reap the health and mind benefits that yoga has to offer? If you find yourself just a little bit curious about yoga, have never tried yoga, or feel a little intimidated by it, this is the class for you!
True Beginner’s Yoga is offered as a 4-week series, on a monthly basis, so you can tailor your practice to meet your needs (or vice versa!). Each series teaches basic yoga postures, stretching, alignment and breathing techniques with slow, gentle movements. Students are introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. Emphasis is placed on student understanding, safety, and stability within each pose. Gradually these poses will be linked together into a gentle flowing sequence.
The benefits of yoga include: Improved joint mobility, increased muscle tone, strength and elasticity, expanded breathing patterns, reduced mental chatter, and as a result of all of that, increased neuroplasticity of the brain.
Please hydrate well before class. We have mats and water on site, but feel free to bring your own. And wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement. $75 (4 classes)
