Cynthia began practicing yoga in 2000 and immediately fell in love with the philosophy, history, and lineage of the practice. She was so inspired with this new way of being in and feeling her body that she completed her first 200-hour RYT at Kripalu’s 30-day residential program in 2003.  She completed her second 200-hour RYT at the Yoga Loft in Wilmington, MA, with Jen Ryan and Nicole Grant, in 2011. As her practice grew, so did her interest in yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda.  In 2016, she received her 200-hour certificate in Ayurvedic lifestyle through Down Under Yoga in Newton, MA.

Cynthia has a strong daily yoga and meditation practice which she describes as constantly evolving.  She strives to find new ways to learn and grow, and this approach to life is apparent in her classes. To keep things fun and interesting Cynthia received a certificate in stand up paddleboard (SUP) yoga on Anna Maria Island, FL in 2017 and completed a follow-up SUP yoga program in May 2018. Being on, in, or near the ocean is what feeds her soul. Her totem animal is a mermaid. In the warmer weather, you will mostly find Cynthia on the water teaching SUP through Coast To Coast Paddle on the (north-of-Boston) New England coast!

I believe consistency is a value with which I was blessed, and for that I am eternally grateful.  My current mantra is learning to tell the difference between inspiration vs. motivation.  Discerning this difference feels subtle, and can only truly be revealed by my heart.
