Maureen
Maureen is director and owner of YogaNH and Yogapreneur who follows her passion sharing what she loves with others by offering classes, workshops, and trainings on topics that assist students on the path of transformation. She has been studying yoga, philosophy, human development, holistic healing modalities and more for over 20 years and thoroughly enjoys being both a teacher and a student.
Rooted in a deep sense of connection & community, Maureen opened Living Yoga in 2004 in Concord NH. In 2010, after building that studio from a three-teacher studio to a 10-person staff with more than 16 classes per week, she sold the studio to one of her senior teachers to focus her energy on the expansion of Yoga NH and more specifically, Yoga Teacher Training programs designed to bring many more well-trained yoga teachers to the NH community. In 2018, with four campus locations (Concord, Portsmouth and Nashua, NH and Winchester, MA), Yoga NH begins its 12th year, celebrating over 350 graduates of Yoga and Reiki programs. In addition to overseeing the teacher training program, Maureen also leads workshops and e-courses focusing on philosophy, personal development, Reiki/energy, human flourishing, Women’s Power Circles, and other topics to assist others on their journey toward discovering what feeds their soul. In 2018, Maureen began a Mentorship Program available to students in-person and online. Additionally, as the leader of Yoga NH, Maureen also hosts many international yoga teachers in the Concord, NH area so the community can benefit from the knowledge of experts without having to travel to do so.
Maureen is also a Yoga Therapist and integrates all she has learned (and has been teaching) for the past 20 years to positively contribute to the vision and mission of the Yoga NH. The intention is to provide more individualized attention to students and to educate them so they have diverse tools in their toolbox to help increase, and maintain, wellness in body, mind & spirit. Prior to beginning her journey as a Yogapreneur, Maureen was in a leadership position at a state-wide human service agency for 12 years and a Business Manager at UNH for over 10 years. Maureen continues her affiliation with UNH with the Carsey School of Public Policy and the Sustainability Institute as a part–time consultant.
